All children are welcome. Our camps have special instructional supports for children with autism and emotional and behavioral disorders.
OUR CAMPS ARE FULL FOR 2022!
Our therapeutic summer programs are designed to provide a fun and special focus for your child, just like any other summer enrichment program. The special benefits include a low staff to child ratio, evidence-based interventions, specially trained staff (behavior technicians, BCBAs, and special education teachers).
June 20th to July 25th, 2022
Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays
9:30am to 11:00am OR 5:00pm to 6:30pm
For ages 2 through 5
Our summer preschool program is designed for both children with and without developmental delays to practice social, communication, and play skills with therapeutic support. Combining structured group activities with unstructured play, children will practice the critical skills that will set them up for success in kindergarten and beyond. With expertise from early childhood and special educators, parents can expect ongoing feedback on different strategies to support their child's development. Parents are welcome to participate, but not required.
ART TOGETHER: SOCIAL SKILLS PRACTICE
July 11th to July 15th, 2022
For ages 6-16
Many children are taught the basics of social skills, but lack the practice and feedback to ensure the skill is mastered. Art Together will focus on using various art projects as an opportunity to practice basic social skills and provide explicit instruction for advanced social skills. Staff are trained in both art and behavior analysis, so qualified art instruction is a bonus! Students will be grouped by age and parents will receive individualized feedback at the end of each day.
CAMP CALM: MINDFULNESS AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING
July 18th to 22nd, 2022
For ages 6-16
Camp Calm will focus on teaching the skills to regulate emotions, enjoy everyday activities, and prevent large emotional and behavioral reactions. Based on the latest research in social and emotional learning, mindfulness exploration and training will be embedded daily. By focusing on the body's response to stress and frustration, instead of the events that may trigger frustration, your child will learn a greater awareness of self-regulation.
EXECUTIVE FUNCTION PRODUCTION
July 25th to July 29th, 2022
For ages 6-16
Executive Function Production brings together one of your child's special interest with project-based learning to support organizational skills, flexible thinking, problem solving, and self-control. While working on a large project, your child will learn and implement strategies to plan, organize, execute, and celebrate their success. Fun activities will be embedded to practice organization, time management, and inhibitory control.
